Portuguese daily Record has learned that Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
The Red Devils are expected to make a real splash in the January market following the slow start to the season, with club officials also thinking about the future.
According to Record, Manchester United are keeping an eye on Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho.
The 21-year-old only joined Sporting this summer, arriving from Cercle Brugge, but he has immediately commanded a starting berth at Estadio Jose Alvalade.
Carvalho has started all six Primeira Liga fixtures this term, helping the Lions climb to the second place in the overall standings.
Despite being born in Angola, the youngster has pledged his allegiance to Portugal and has even scored a goal in his only appearance for the Under-21 side.
His current side play host to Vitoria Setubal at the weekend, with the Lions 1/3 to extend their excellent run of results.
