Manchester United are ready to listen to offers for Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to Daily Telegraph, and the striker himself is open to a move away from Old Trafford.
The upcoming transfer window will reportedly see the 20-time English champions go through an extensive overhaul of the squad and Lukaku may be one of those to make way, but only if a suitable offer comes in.
The Belgian international arrived to United from Everton in a £75 million deal in 2017 as the player to lead the line upfront for years to come. However, his performances have hardly justified such belief in his abilities, and when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho at the helm halfway through this season, he lost his regular place in the starting XI to Marcus Rashford.
His weekly wages amount to £225,000 and that’s an expense United could live without, but they will want to recoup the money they invested in the signing of the player who turns 26 in May this year.
