Odion Ighalo is set to return from Old Trafford to Shaghai Greenland Shenhua this week, given that the loan deal the Chinese Suport League side agreed with Manchester United in January expires at the end of May. This of course, means that the Nigerian striker won’t be able to play for United when the Premier League resumes next month.
However, according to Sky Sports, at United they remain relaxed over the situation and the negotiations between the two sides are ongoing. The 20-time English champions feel that Ighalo’s parent club have been very understanding throughout the business and, whatever happens, they’re grateful to them for allowing the 30-year-old to come and play for his boyhood club when they needed his services.
Ighalo has so far worn the Red of Manchester eight times and scored four goals. Things might change, of course, but as they stand at the moment, it seems he won’t be playing for them again.
