Scottish Premier League side Dundee United have signed Argentinian striker Damien Casalinuovo following a successful trial spell.
The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Tannadice after netting in friendly games against Arbroath and Irish side UCD.
The former Velez Sarsfield player will provide crucial cover up front after last season’s top scorer, Francisco Sandaza, underwent hernia surgery.
Sandaza may be out until the start of October, and with Jon Daly recuperating from a serious knee injury, Casalinuovo will provide boss Craig Levein with competition for David Goodwillie and Danny Cadamarteri up front.
