A report from the Metro is today suggesting that Manchester United could look to change their squad around in the summer and three key players might be leaving Old Trafford.
It is being reported that Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are set to hang their boots up after quite incredible career.
Scholes of course came out of retirement last year, but now seems ready to finally call time on his playing days, whereas Giggs fears that at 39-years-old, he might not be an asset to the Red Devils anymore.
One man that could be leaving and continue to play is Rio Ferdinand though. It is a surprise that he is being linked with a move away from the English Premier League giants as he has returned to his best form in recent weeks.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson wants to mould Phil Jones and Chris Smalling into top-quality centre-backs, so the former England captain might have to look for a new employer.
The two clubs that seem to be leading the way to secure his services are two London outfits – Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
It is certainly a fascinating story to keep an eye on in the coming months.
