Speaking to Evening Standard, Manchester United target Aaron Wan-Bissaka has confirmed he will be staying at Crystal Palace next season.
United have been on the lookout for a new right-back with Antonio Valencia set to leave this summer, while Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian aren’t a part of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans. Various reports suggested that Solskjaer himself was very keen on the Palace youngster, but executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had his eye on Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier.
Wan-Bissaka is happy that his performances aren’t going unnoticed, but he said that he’ll still be plying his trade at Selhurst Park next term with his contract running for three more years.
With the 21-year-old ruling out a transfer this summer, it seems Woodward might prevail over Solskjaer on this particular matter if United launch a bid to sign Trippier. The 28-year-old may be in a bit more keen on a change of scenery.
