Manchester United are interested in signing Douglas Costa of Juventus, according to Tuttosport.
The Turin-based outlet claim that the newly appointed United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on boosting his attacking options, the 28-year-old, capable of playing on either flank or behind the striker, is his preferred option.
Costa’s career started at Gremio back in 2008, and he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk a year and a half later. He spent five and a half successful years in Ukraine, before being snapped up by Bayern Munich in 2015. However, it was a different case there and he only lasted two seasons. He was sent to Juventus on loan, and the deal was made permanent last year.
Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin, the Brazilian has seen his game-time significantly reduced when compared to last season, and he may seek a move away should the club persist with other current forward options too.
