A report from the Daily Mirror suggests that Manchester United have urged their winger Nani to stop talking about his uncertain future and focus on playing football.
Nani has been in the papers a lot over recent weeks and it is thought that contract talks have stalled as the Portuguese international has very excessive wage demands.
Although he does still have two-years left on his current deal, the midfielder is chasing a new contract.
The English Premier League side were willing to let him go in the transfer window to Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg but in the end, a deal was not able to be done.
With the 25-year-old stay at Old Trafford until at least January, the club want him to focus on getting back into the squad and putting in good performances for the Red Devils.
If Nani does want to move on in the New Year, then he will need to be in good form for a team to sign him in the middle of the campaign – so must do all he can to be part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans this season.
He was left out of United’s 3-2 win over Fulham, but could come into the squad to face Wigan this weekend.
