(GSM) – Universidad de Chile will be the happier side following a 1-1 draw with Guadalajara in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores semi finals.

The second half at the Estadio Jalisco had been under way two minutes when Rafael Olarra put the Chilean visitors in the lead.

The Mexicans did well to recover though and Arellano Riveron restored the balance another five minutes.

In the remainder of the match, the hosts did try to find a winning goal but Universidad held on to secure a vital draw.

The return leg in this tie will be played in Santiago de Chile on August 4, and the winner faces either Internacional or Sao Paulo in the final.
