(GSM) – Libertad remained in first place in Copa Libertadores Group 4 on Thursday after holding Peru’s Universitario to a 0-0 draw in Lima.

Libertad had the first great chance when Pablo Velázquez hit the post on five minutes, but Víctor Píriz also came close later in the half for Universitario.

Neither side managed a solid goal effort in the second half as Universitario were put on their heels a bit by Libertad, never found a way past goalkeeper Raúl Fernández.

Libertad and Universitario both have seven points through three games, but the Paraguayans have the edge on goal difference.
