(GSM) – Peruvian side Universitario held Brazilian giants Sao Paulo to a potentially vital goalless draw in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday.

The entirely Brazilian away side hoped to get a good result from their round of sixteen first leg encounter with Universitario, but things did not work out for them in Lima.

Instead, Sao Paulo even finished the game a man down as Richarlyson was handed his second yellow card five minutes after the hour.

The Brazilians will now need a home win in the second leg, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4.
