Upamecano boost for Liverpool?

According to a recent report from the Mirror, Liverpool’s hopes of signing Dayot Upamecano in the future have received a major boost.

This is because the RB Leipzig defender is now expected to leave the German club next summer, and while the Reds may need a defensive option as soon as January, it’s still a big moment for them as they prepare to try and bring in a new defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk upon his return.

Upamecano is the definition of a wanted man with a string of top clubs across European football being interested in acquiring his services.

Liverpool’s position as one of the biggest and best clubs in world football, however, does appear to have given them the upperhand, and Jurgen Klopp will be keeping a close eye on the situation as we look ahead to what could be the most important few months of his managerial career thus far.
