Jakub Blaszczykowski netted the final equalizer in the 73rd minute to give Poland a 2-2 draw with the United States in an international football friendly.
Before a crowd of 31,696 at Soldier Field that included thousands of Polish supporters, the visitors twice answered the hosts seizing the lead to earn a deadlock.
Jozy Altidore opened the scoring in the 13th minute off an assist from Jermaine Jones, a Frankfurt-born midfielder for Germany’s FC Schalke making his debut for the American side.
Adam Matuszczyk pulled Poland level in the 30th minute to leave the match level 1-1 at half-time.
AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu, making his first start since last June at the World Cup, nodded home a goal in the 52nd minute off a corner kick from Stuart Holden to put the US squad back on top until Blaszczykowski answered.
Onyewu missed almost all of last season with a knee injury suffered in a World Cup qualifier.
Jones, born to an American father and German mother, became an American last year. He played three exhibitions for Germany but is now allowed to play for the United States because he never played for Germany in an official match.
The Polish side will face Ecuador on Tuesday in Montreal, the same night the US squad plays Colombia in suburban Philadelphia.
