(GSM) – FC Utrecht easily defeated Roda JC 4-1 for a 6-1 aggregate win, more than enough to play European football next season.

Utrecht had already won the first leg of the play-off final for a Europa League berth 0-2 in Kerkrade, and never gave that advantage away in the return leg.

Just two minutes were played at Galgenwaard stadium when Ricky van Wolfswinkel put the hosts ahead with a shot that went in from the inside of the post.

Roda did equalise with Mads Junker heading home in the 21st minute, but Utrecht restored their lead through Van Wolfswinkel shortly after the break.

Roda captain Davy De Fauw was sent off after fouling Dries Mertens in the 49th minute, which basically meant the end of the battle.

Jacob Mulenga added two more goals, in the 59th and 71st minutes, for a convincing 4-1 victory, 6-1 on aggregate.
