Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena has confessed that he may have played his last game for the French giants.
The 29-year-old is one of the high-profile players expected to leave OM in the summer as the club plan a major squad overhaul.
And following the 1-0 triumph over Guingamp in the final day of the season, Valbuena has admitted that he is likely to be leaving Stade Velodrome in the coming months.
“It’s been eight years that I’ve been here, it is not easy to remain at OM,” Valbuena told Canal + after the game.
“A departure? I do not know, I have a contract until June 2016, this could be my last game, but nothing is decided, nothing is guaranteed, we will see in the coming days.”
The experienced midfielder reportedly has offers from English Premier League, although Marseille will probably wait until after the World Cup before cashing in on their prized asset.
Valbuena has spent a total of eight years at Stade Velodrome, making 242 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring 27 goals.
He currently has 31 France caps to his name and is likely to play an important role for les Bleus at the 2014 World Cup.
