(GSM) – Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano has assured fans they will keep Gonzalo Higuain at the Bernabeu.
Valdano made sure that their top scorer will sign a new contract at Real.
It’s reported that Manchester City is keen on getting their hands on Higuain, who has already scored nineteen goals in La Liga this season.
The 22-year-old’s form this season has helped him outshine many of the so-called Galacticos at Real and prompted new contract talks with Valdano keen to extend his deal.
“He is a player with a perfect record,” Valdano told Spanish media.
“We are talking with him but there is no rush. We want to renew his deal and for him to finish his career at Real Madrid.”
