(GSM) – After their dramatic loss against Olympique Lyon last week, the pressure mounted on Real Madrid and coach Manuel Pellegrini. Following the impressive win over Villarreal (6-2), Real’s general manager Jorge Valdano made it clear that there’s no pressure on Pellegrini.

“I am very satisfied with the coach and the team,” Valdano said after Sunday’s match. “We have had a great game and we learned to play two games, which was first with much elaboration in midfield and then after Villarreal scored.

“We scored six goals and it could have been more. I’m totally satisfied, full of football.

“The team plays in the coach’s style, who has managed many things well. When he (Pellegrini) said this was the best Madrid in 15 years that related to statistical data, not opinions. But we know that when you lose come the criticisms.

“Our job is to win games and if we are playing well and scoring goals like today, all the better. The league is going to come down very little difference, perhaps because of goal difference.”
