Valdes agrees Monaco switch

Catalan Radio RAC1 understands that Monaco are on the verge of competing a Bosman deal for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

The Spain international has refused to change his mind about leaving at the end of the season in spite of the lucrative offer from Camp Nou.

RAC1 has revealed that the player is in advanced talks over a move to Monaco, and it seems he has already decided to join the French giants when his contract expires in the summer.

Valdes is expected to sign a four-year deal at Stade Louis II as soon as the transfer window reopens in January, while he will obviously have to wait another six months before moving to the Principality.

The 31-year-old has spent his entire professional career so far at Camp Nou, having arrived at the club from Tenerife in 1995, and has made a total of 369 La Liga appearances for the Catalans.
