Competition: Copa del Rey
Market: Valencia win
Odds: 3/4 @ Bet 365
Playing out a 2-2 draw when the two sides met earlier in the month, Valencia will welcome a stuttering Real Betis to the Estadio de Mestalla on Thursday night.
Starting with the Bats, while Valencia would have been disappointed to have only picked up against Leganes over the weekend, Marcelino García Toral’s side are enjoying quite the unbeaten run. Yet to lose any of their last eight matches, a run that stems back to the middle of January, Thursday’s hosts will be most impressed by their performances at the Estadio de Mestalla. The Whites have lost just one home match in the New Year and their defensive resolve has impressed many. The Bats have conceded just one home goal in over 630 minutes of action.
As for the visitors, while Real Betis might have picked up a much-needed 2-0 win over Real Valladolid on Saturday, it does not cover what has been a poor run in the second half of the season. Picking up just one victory since the start of February, Quique Setién will be growing more concerned by his sides form on the road. Aside from their 2-0 win over relegation contenders Valladolid over the weekend, Betis have picked up just one away win in 2019. Also on a run that has seen them fail to win any of their last five matchups against the Bats, we’re expecting another tough night for Setién’s side.
