Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Valencia have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign talented forward Goncalo Guedes.
The transfer will soon be wrapped up after their €25 million offer was accepted by the Eagles, but the youngster will only move to Mestalla in the summer.
Valencia sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch has confirmed that los Che do not have a lot of money to spend in January due to Financial Fair Play constraints.
Goncalo Guedes has largely impressed since coming through the youth ranks at Estadio da Luz and he has so far managed 9 goals and 16 assists in 64 competitive matches.
The 20-year-old has also broken into the Portugal national team set-up, making two appearances for the Selecao in international friendlies.
Guedes is predicted a bright future in the game and he will soon be able to test his skills in Spanish La Liga.
