Valencia, Benfica keen on Hernanes

Valencia and Benfica have emerged as main candidates to secure the signature of Juventus midfielder Hernanes, according to Tuttosport.

The Brazilian footballer is likely to be offloaded during the summer transfer window, as he no longer features in the first team plans of Max Allegri.

La Liga giants Valencia are showing interest in his services as their star midfielder Dani Parejo has expressed his desire to join Europa League holders Sevilla.

And with Andre Gomes also leaving this summer, los Che are desperate for midfield reinforcements.

On the other hand, Benfica plan to add a creative midfielder to their ranks after both Nicolas Gaitan and Renato Sanchez left.

Hernanes, 31, made 14 league appearances during his debut season at Juventus, scoring one goal, while his move to Inter Milan didn’t go according to plan either.

The Brazilian had impressed playing for Lazio though, bagging 33 goals in 118 Serie A matches.
