Le 10 Sport has learned that Valencia are in pole position to sign French attacker Anthony Martial from Monaco.
Atletico Madrid and few other top clubs have been showing interest in the youngster’s services, but the latest reports suggest that los Che lead the chase.
They are reportedly ready to offer up to €16 million for the 18-year-old player, with Monaco already searching for his replacement.
The Principality club snatched the Lyon graduate last summer for €5 million, and the youngster in turn showed a great deal of potential at Stade Louis II.
While scoring 3 goals in 4 matches for the reserve side, the France Under-21 international made 11 first team appearances in Ligue 1, scoring 2 goals in the process.
Monaco officials are reportedly quite satisfied with his progress, but they are unlikely to pass up an opportunity to earn a hefty profit just a year after signing him from Stade Gerland.
