Spanish media outlet Superdeporte is reporting that Valencia are set to sign Chilean midfielder Matias Fernandez from Fiorentina.
The Chilean is yet another high-profile footballer who has decided to leave the sinking ship that is Viola, and he has been speaking to los Che over the last few days.
Fernandez has one year left on his deal at Artemio Franchi and he is keen on moving to Mestalla.
Valencia are in need of quality footballers as they plan to offload several of their highest earners, and they believe Matias Fernandez would be a good addition to the squad.
The Chilean has spent last five years at Artemio Franchi, producing 7 goals and 28 assists in 131 competitive appearances.
