Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are set to complete the signing of Mexican midfielder Andres Guardado from Valencia, the Spanish club announced on their official website.
Die Werkself have reached an agreement to sign the player on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, with the striker given permission to undergo a medical in Germany.
Meanwhile, los Che have also accepted loan offers for Helder Postiga and Dorlan Pabon from Lazio and Sao Paulo respectively.
Given that he can play at left back and left midfielder, Guardado is likely to prove a useful player at Bay Arena, and he is expected to challenge Sebastian Boenisch for a starting berth.
The 27-year-old has spent last year and a half at Mestalla, having joined from Deportivo La Coruna, but hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth at Valencia despite making 48 La Liga appearances for los Che and scoring one goal.
