La Liga side Valencia have moved to confirm reports linking them with a summer move for Racing Club winger Rodrigo de Paul.
Los Che general manager Francisco Rufete has had a meeting with club chiefs on Wednesday to identify the summer targets as the Mestalla outfit plan to reinforce the squad in the summer.
And he has confirmed speculations that Racing Club starlet Rodrigo de Paul is one of the names on club’s hit-list.
“He is a player we are looking at, just like others,” Rufete was quoted as saying by Super Deporte.
Despite his fragile age, the 19-year-old has already nailed down a regular starting berth at Racing, making a total of 53 league appearances for the Argentine giants.
De Paul has managed 4 goals and 3 assists in 34 league outings this season, while making another two appearances in Copa Sudamericana.
His suitors Valencia will attempt to overturn a two-goal deficit in the Europa League semi-final against Sevilla, with los Che 9/2 to qualify for the final.
