Valencia cool interest in Luan

Spanish media outlet Marca is reporting that La Liga high-flyers Valencia have cooled interest in Gremio hotshot Luan.

Los Che planned to recruit the highly rated Brazilian in the summer transfer window, but were put off by Gremio’s high asking price and instead signed Goncalo Guedes and Andreas Perreira on season-long loans.

Given that Luan has entered the final year of his contract, chances are he will be leaving in January, but latest reports suggest Valencia will not be making their move.

Namely, with Guedes and Rodrigo Moreno both impressing this season, the Brazilian is no longer wanted at Mestalla, while the heavy interest in his services would suggest los Che would struggle to win the chase for his signature anyway.

Luan has been in tremendous form this term, having already managed 16 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
