Valencia defender drops Liverpool hint

Portugal defender Miguel Monteiro has revealed his admiration for Liverpool, but also said he was happy at Valencia.

Valencia have enjoyed a remarkable start to the season, but that didn’t stop Miguel from hinting he would be open to a move to Anfield.

“Liverpool are a team that I admire and I have a friend there now in Raul Meireles,” said the Portuguese defender.

“Liverpool have always been my favourite English team and I have a lot of passion for them.

“But, I’m fine here and hope everything goes well for Valencia and we can win some trophies this year.”
