Valencia eyeing Fernando Torres

La Liga giants Valencia are being linked with a summer move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, according to Daily Mirror.

Los Che will have money to spend in the summer if billionaire Peter Lim completes the club takeover and it is believed he will try and make the Spain international his first marquee signing.

Chelsea are expected to finally cash in on the experienced forward, although they are hoping to earn around £13 million from his sale.

Fernando Torres joined the Blues from Premier League rivals Liverpool in January 2011, but he never came even close to justifying the £50 million price tag.

The Spaniard went on to score mere 19 goals in 101 Premier League appearances, and lost his place in the national team in the process.

He has managed just 4 goals in 19 league outings this term and everything suggests he will be leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
