Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has learned that Valencia are the latest club to have joined the race for Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.
Los Che will have considerable transfer funds available when Singaporean businessman Peter Lim completes the club takeover.
And chances are he will be doing business with his friend Erick Thohir, who has replaced Massimo Moratti as Inter Milan owner.
Namely, los Che are showing interest in midfielder Fredy Guarin, who is widely tipped to leave Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this summer.
Valencia are not the only side keen on the Colombian’s services as Juventus and Sevilla are believed to be keeping close tabs as well.
Despite showing glimpses of quality, Fredy Guarin was unable to nail down a regular starting berth at Inter and he is almost certain to leave in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old is unlikely to start Colombia’s Last 16 stage clash against Uruguay, where los Cafeteros are 1/1 to win in regulation time.
