Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Blues are in the market for midfield reinforcements and Jose Mourinho appears to have been impressed by his compatriot.
And with the two men sharing the same agent, Chelsea hope they can strike a deal in the summer transfer window, and are ready to offer around £26 million for the highly rated footballer.
However, the latest reports suggest los Che will refer interested sides to the player’s £36 million release clause.
Andre Gomes joined Valencia from Benfica last summer and he quickly developed into an important player at Mestalla.
The 21-year-old made a total of 24 La Liga outings for los Che, scoring 4 goals in the process.
After missing out on Portugal’s World Cup squad, Gomes started the Euro 2016 qualifier against Albania and is now in the squad to face Serbia on Sunday.
