Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian’s future has been the subject of a hot debate over the past couple of months.
The Italian international has most recently been linked with a return to his homeland, but the fresh reports emerging from various reports in the Spanish press claim that La Liga hot-shots Valencia have joined the race to sign the 27-year-old.
Los Che find Darmian to be a valuable asset that could fill in a number of positions at the back – at both wing-back positions and as a full-back – and Onda Cero claims that Mestalla-based side are considering a January move for the Italian.
Darmian is not a preferred first-team choice over at Old Trafford and the fact he only started two Premier League matches this season is more than enough to illustrate his status at Manchester United.
Juventus, Napoli and AS Roma have both expressed interest in acquiring Darmian’s services but Valencia are hoping their successful business relationship with the English club could play a significant part in any potential deal for the Italy international.
