Spanish La Liga strugglers Valencia are in advanced talks for Marseille centre-back Nicolas N’Koulou, Superdeporte can reveal.
Los Che have endured a very disappointing season and with no Champions League football on the horizon, the club will not have a lot of money to spend in the summer.
But, seeing that they are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements, Valencia sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch is eyeing a bargain deal for Marseille’s Nicolas N’Koulou.
It is now clear that the Cameroon hotshot will be leaving Stade Velodrome on a free transfer at the end of the season and los Che appear to be leading the chase for his signature.
N’Koulou has reportedly met with Valencia chairman Lay Hoon Chan and Garcia Pitarch in Madrid last week and some sources even suggest an agreement has been reached.
But, with quite a few top sides also after his signature, los Che clearly face stiff competition for the 25-year-old footballer.
