Spanish media outlet Superdeporte claims that Valencia are considering a move for Sporting CP defender Sebastian Coates.
The Uruguayan centre-back did well to get his career back on track after a disappointing stint with Liverpool with the Lions making his transfer permanent in the winter transfer window.
Some rock-solid showings in Portugal saw Coates catch the eye of quite a few top sides and his agent is currently in talks with La Liga side Valencia.
Los Che believe the 26-year-old would be a good addition to the squad at Mestalla and they recently watched him in action in the Italy vs Uruguay friendly.
However, Valencia do not seem ready to step up their interest just yet, while Sporting CP are under no pressure to sell as the player is guarded by a €45 million release clause.
Coates managed 3 goals in 33 league appearances last season, while he netted once in nine 2018 World Cup qualifiers for Uruguay.
