La Liga outfit Valencia are considering a summer bid for Anderlecht star Cheikhou Kouyate, Marca has revealed.
Los Che might need to find replacements for Jeremy Mathieu and Seydou Keita, who are both linked with summer exit, but rather than signing two players, one particular footballer could be an answer to their problems.
According to Marca, Valencia officials are keeping close tabs on Anderlecht starlet Cheikhou Kouyate, who can operate as both centre-back and holding midfielder.
As as result, los Che could make a move on the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window, but they do not seem prepared to meet Anderlecht’s €10 million asking price.
Kouyate has largely impressed since joining the Belgian giants from Brussels, having featured in 153 league matches for the Constant Vanden Stock outfit.
The highly rated footballer is also attracting interest from English Premier League, where Newcastle, Southampton and West Ham are keen.
