La Liga giants Valencia are set to make a fresh assault on Audax Italiano defender Sebastian Vegas, according to Superdeporte.
Los Che have already expressed their interest in the 18-year-old footballer and they will attempt to complete the signing before the start of the Under-20 South American Championship.
With Vegas the captain of Chile Under-20 side, Valencia want to avoid the player’s price rising any further. According to reports from Chile, los Che have offered to buy 50% of Vegas’ contract for €2 million.
In case they manage to complete the transfer, Valencia will allow the youngster to remain on loan at Audax Italiano until the end of the season.
Despite his fragile age, Vegas has already made 22 league appearances for the Chilean side, scoring one goal.
The highly rated centre-back is predicted a bright future in the game and is currently regarded as one of country’s hottest prospects.
