Valencia keen on Matteo Politano

Spanish giants Valencia are readying bid for Sassuolo winger Matteo Politano, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Neroverdi have already sold Gregoire Defrel and Lorenzo Pellegrini, and they could now lose another important footballer.

Fiorentina were the first side to show interest in Politano, informing Sassuolo that they were prepared to offer between €10m and €12m for the 24-year-old footballer.

But, Valencia have since come forward with a bid in excess of €15 million, which is closer to what the Neroverdi are looking to get for the AS Roma graduate.

Matteo Politano has been in fine form ever since he joined Sassuolo, having managed 13 goals and 10 assists in 71 outings for the club.
