Spanish giants Valencia are weighing up January move for Benfica hotshot Nicolas Gaitan, Superdeporte can reveal.
It is no secret that los Che aim to recruit another winger in the winter transfer window, and the Argentina international appears to be high on their wish list.
It remains to be seen whether Valencia will be prepared to match the player’s €35 million release clause since Benfica chiefs have no intention of lowering their asking price.
At the same time, los Che continue to monitor Peruvian winger Andre Carrillo, who has yet to extend his deal with Sporting Lisbon that is due to expire at the end of the season.
The Peru starlet would be a much cheaper alternative to Nicolas Gaitan, even in case he accepts the club’s latest contract offer.
Valencia have had a pretty disappointing start to the new season and they are 9/20 to defeat Granada and finally end the barren run.
