According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Valencia have already starting to look at players to replace David Villa, as their star striker is expected to depart after the European Championships this summer.
Swedish star Johan Elmander, 26, who currently plays for the French club Toulouse, has been linked with many top clubs already like Barcelona, Juventus, Roma and Galatasaray.
Valencia expect to receive around €30million for Villa, and will use only half of that to purchase Elmander, who is estimated to cost around €14million.
Marca also writes that Valencia’s technical secretary, Juan Sánchez, is a keen admirer of the Swede’s talents, and that he possesses skills of very high standards.
