Valencia have decided to cash in on full-back Joao Cancelo in the summer, according to Plaza Deportiva.
The Portuguese defender is reportedly a top target for Barcelona, while few other high-profile clubs are keen on his services, and it appears he will finally be allowed to leave.
Valencia are prepared to respect the player’s desire to leave for greener pastures and they are willing to consider offers in the region of €25 million.
This is clearly great news for Barcelona, who are almost certain to make their move on Cancelo in the coming weeks and secure the signature of the 22-year-old footballer.
Joao Cancelo is yet another impressive product of Benfica’s youth academy and he didn’t need a lot of time to prove his worth in La Liga.
After spending last two and a half years at Mestalla, this will feel like a good time for the next step in his career.
