Valencia and Manchester United vying for Enzo Perez

Spanish media outlet Marca has suggested that Valencia and Manchester United are locked in the battle for Benfica star Enzo Perez.

The highly rated midfielder seems ready to leave the Eagles for greener pastures and a January exit appears on the cards.

And while Valencia remain keen on his services and might be prepared to match his €30 million release clause, Manchester United are set to challenge los Che for the midfielder’s services.

Louis van Gaal rates Perez highly and he will attempt to lure him to Old Trafford in the January window.

According to Marca, both Angel Di Maria and Nicolas Otamendi attempted to persuade their international teammate to join Manchester United and Valencia respectively while on international duty over the last seven days.

Perez was believed to be keen on a switch to Valencia in the summer, but the recent interest from Manchester United could change his mind.
