Valencia have confirmed they have received an official bid from Lille for star midfielder Alberto Costa.
The Ligue 1 giants have been looking to sign a creative midfielder ever since Eden Hazard left Stade Lille Metropole for Chelsea.
Les Dogues recently set their sights on Valencia midfielder Alberto Costa, the player who has already made a name for himself in France’s top flight.
The French side have subsequently made an official bid for the Argentine and Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez has confirmed los Che are seriously considering the proposal.
“As far as Tino Costa is concerned, in principle, there is a very important offer from Lille,” Vazquez told Spanish news agency EFE.
The 27-year-old is considered an important part of the squad at Mestalla, but club’s poor financial situation means they will be unable to resist a lucrative offer for any of their players.
Costa has been in fine form this season, scoring 5 goals in 27 La Liga games, while producing two assists in the process.
The Argentine already has plenty of Ligue 1 experience, having spent two very successful seasons at Montpellier.
