La Liga strugglers Valencia are set to offer Chilean winger Fabian Orellana an escape route from Balaidos, according to Superdeporte.
The highly rated footballer was dropped from the senior squad at Celta Vigo after clashing with head coach Eduardo Berizzo and the Sky Blues have made it clear he will be sold in January.
This will be music to the ears of Valencia officials, who attempted to recruit the player in the summer, but were put off by the high asking price.
And with the Chile international likely to be available for mere €3 million, los Che are determined to wrap up the deal as soon as possible.
Orellana has long been one of Celta’s star performers, scoring 32 goals in 157 league appearances, but the reported “unacceptable lack of respect” persuaded head coach Eduardo Berizzo to drop him from the squad.
The winger would prefer to remain at Balaidos, but it is clear that the Sky Blues no longer count on his services.
