Valencia have been given permission to speak to Monterrey forward Dorlan Pabon, the Mexican club have revealed on their official website.
Los Che have met the player’s €7 million release clause, and now have less than 48 hours to try and agree personal terms with the Colombian footballer.
The La Liga side have until Monday to try and conclude the deal or else the buy-out clause will rise to whopping €21 million.
Valencia are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements after star striker Roberto Soldado was sold to Tottenham, although they did complete the signing of Helder Postiga from Real Zaragoza.
Dorlan Pabon spent last six months in La Liga, scoring 8 goals in 17 league matches for Real Betis while on loan from the Mexican club.
He has since bagged 3 goals in 6 league matches for Monterrey, but everything suggests he will be returning to Spain, this time on permanent basis.
