French media outlet L’Equipe has learned that La Liga outfit Valencia are closing on Stuttgart winger Filip Kostic.
The Serbia international has been heavily linked with a big club move over the last year or so, and the Swabians are believed to have rejected offers in the region of €20 million for his services.
However, having suffered relegation to the second division, they are now forced to accept a lower proposal, and L’Equipe claims Valencia are closing in on a €15 million deal.
Los Che appear to have beaten the likes of Villarreal, Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke and Wolfsburg to the player’s signature, and they have prepared a long-term deal for Kostic worth €1.5 million per campaign.
Filip Kostic, 23, has been in fine form this season, scoring 5 goals and setting up as many in 30 Bundesliga starts, while he has so far made a total of 8 appearances for the Serbian national team.
