Plaza Deportiva understands that Valencia are on the verge of signing Colombian defender Jeison Murillo from Inter Milan.
The 25-year-old has all but agreed to join los Che and it is now up to the two clubs to find an agreement.
Valencia are confident they will close the deal by the end of the week, with Murillo expected to replace Ezequiel Garay in the back line.
Los Che will pay around €15 million for the 25-year-old, who is keen to leave for regular playing time in order to secure his place in Colombia’s World Cup squad.
Murillo already has plenty of experience of playing in Spain, having represented Cadiz, Las Palmas and Granada before joining Inter Milan two years ago.
He has since featured in 61 Serie A games, but never quite managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter.
