According to Marca, Spanish side Valencia are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Crystal Palace, hasn’t been able to break his way into the first team at Old Trafford. As we look ahead to the new season it doesn’t seem as if he’s going to feature in Jose Mourinho’s plans, and as a result, Valencia reportedly believe that United have already started looking elsewhere for someone to take TFM’s place.
Valencia enjoyed a relatively successful season last year, finishing 4th in La Liga whilst also making it to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. As they continue to build a strong core throughout their squad, the introduction of Dutch international Fosu-Mensah could provide them with just the boost they need.
Fosu-Mensah made a total of 24 appearances for the Eagles last season during his loan spell at Selhurst Park.
