Valencia are interested in signing Umar Sadiq from Almeria in the January transfer window, according to El Gol Digital. It has been reported that Los Che have been impressed by the former Rangers loanee and are keen on bringing him to the Mestalla Stadium.
Almeria do not want to sell him, as Sadiq is a key player in their quest to get promotion back to La Liga at the end of the season. Moreover, the 24-year-old striker has a release clause of €30 million, which is too much for Valencia to pay at this moment in time.
Sadiq has scored four goals in six Segunda Division matches for Almeria so far this season. The striker has also scored two goals in two substitute appearances in the Copa del Rey. Valencia are fourth in the La Liga table at the moment with 10 points from six matches.
