Valencia are still keen to secure a loan deal for Liverpool striker Iago Aspas, the Express understands.
The Spaniard has made just six starts since switching from Celta Vigo in the summer, with his only goal coming in the 2-0 FA Cup third round victory over Oldham Athletic earlier this month.
Valencia are challenging for a European place this season, though they currently sit nine points off the top six having lost seven of their last twelve games.
In the two seasons prior to his move to Anfield, Aspas his thirty-five goals in sixty-nine games for Celta, helping them first to promotion back to La Liga and then retaining their top flight status the following year.
After netting in the last round, the 26 year old may well get a run out as Brendan Rodgers’ side take on Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon, and he can backed at 6.0 (5/1) to open the scoring.
