Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt has rejoined Vitesse on loan for the 2012-13 season.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season at the Eredivisie club, making nine league appearances.
Van Aanholt was one of three Chelsea players to join the Dutch side on a temporary basis during the last campaign, with fellow defender Tomas Kalas and attacking midfielder Ulises Davila also making the switch.
The Netherlands Under-21 international joined the club back in 2007 from PSV Eindhoven but has struggled to force his way in to the first-team fold, making just two Premier League appearances.
As well as his time at Vitesse, he has also spent time on loan at Coventry City, Newcastle, Leicester City and Wigan.
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo has been busy reshaping his squad since winning the FA Cup and Champions League last season, bringing in Eden Hazard and Marko Marin, as Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa left after the end of their contracts.
