Mark van Bommel denies that the recovery from his toe injury is delayed, as suggested by the German press.

The Bayern Munich-captain thinks that he will be able to perform again in two weeks.

The Dutch midfielder broke his toe in August en isn`t ready for a return on the pitch.
German media complained about his `slow` recovery but Van Bommel doesn`t understand this.

`The German media reported that my recovery is delayed but that`s nonsense,` the Dutch international told Sportweek.

`There`s a rehabilitation period of six weeks for this injury, maybe even longer. It`s a difficult injury. It`s not painful but running is still a problem for me,` Van Bommel said.

`I`ll have to be totally recovered before I do something on the pitch. I`m looking forward to my return but I won`t take any risks.`
